I feel scared to witness to my folks because I know they've seen the worst of me (both before Christ and after Christ). The beauty of the gospel is not that Jesus came to those who were well, but to the sick who need the healing. No, you won't be changed overnight, and there's nothing in YOUR power that you can do. But JESUS can deliver you from those emotions and actions as you draw nearer to Him. And one day you'll look back at the person you used to be and you'll be able to raise your hands in praise and thanksgiving for the miraculous "heart transplant" He does in us.

I want to highly encourage you to take up those idea you listed and make. them. habits. Saturate yourself with the Word. It will take effect and grow in you, like a seed planted in fertile soil.

Praying for you!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347737109684156629.post-80663640850750531582009-01-27T11:25:00.000-05:002009-01-27T11:25:00.000-05:00I know what's holding me back -- time. Sigh...All of those are struggles for me, too. I'm glad I'm not alone!Pennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16791257181990955117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347737109684156629.post-87636784015577162202009-01-27T11:18:00.000-05:002009-01-27T11:18:00.000-05:00Very good post. I believe I will make sure to listen everyday. Thanks so much for the inspiration.Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13576020338507266077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347737109684156629.post-74753403256221225942009-01-27T09:16:00.000-05:002009-01-27T09:16:00.000-05:00Thats some good stuff! Something my Pastor said last week keeps ringing in my mind "You don't want to be one of those people that when others find out your a Christian they are surprised" I REALLY struggle with drinking. I'm not a big drinker but have come to see that even the occassional beer or glass of wine puts me "with the world" and even though I don't believe it causes me to stumble, if it makes someone else stumble, I shouldn't do it.

- KateUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04264461848279546664noreply@blogger.com
