Things I Love Thursday: My MP3 Player
Okay so its not mine, its Mr. Rights. Best gift I ever got him. He was impressed that his cousins got them for Christmas, so I bought him one for Valentine's day. I got him a Sansa MP3 player, because product reviews say that its just as good as an Ipod, for half the price. So by getting the "off" brand I was able to get 2 GB more memory storage.
I remember perfectly when he opened it up. He was shocked that I had gotten it for him. He had a ton of music on his computer that he couldn't wait to transfer. As the newness wore off he realized that he had no practical use for it, with the exception of the earbuds. he could plug those into his computer and listen to political videos on youtube and not bother me and my TV viewing.
When I started working out faithfully, I had him load it up for me. It really helps me pass the time. Instead of constantly watching the time, only to see that 30 seconds has passed, I focus on the music and the time passes much quicker. Also, I know that if I can sing along with the song I'm not working out hard enough and I need to punch it up a little.

Thats an expensive set of earbuds..
ReplyDeleteat least he let you use it.
My hubby would be so excited to have it he's never let me use it..
I feel like I'm the only runner without an MP3 player or ipod and it sucks. But it just isn't in the budget right now!
ReplyDeleteI totally do the watered down gateroade (or poweraid) trick too!!
Our local minor league baseball team is the Beach Bums...gotta love losing to the Bums!
My husband got a new Ipod and gave me his old one, but I have yet to have the time to download my music onto it. He uses his ALL THE TIME though. I agree they would be a must for working out!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I'd do without my iPod. My little one demands, I mean, ASKS to listen to Veggie Tales in the car every. single. day. I usually take my iPod and pop one ear bud in while I'm driving. That way I get to listen to my music while she jams along with Bob & Larry.
I just ordered a refurb. Touch. It was on sale for $100 off. I haven't gotten a new iPod since 2003, so I figured it was time. :)
We love our Sansa's. IT's great for so many reasons!

Thanks for commenting on my WFMW post. I forgot all about scrambled egg sandwhiches. I love them. My mom and dad used to eat them all the time when I lived at home. I have an ipod and just got a new vehicle that has an aux jack so i can listen to it while i'm driving down the road. It's awesome. I love it. I have worked out a couple of times (need more of that) and use it then too. Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteMusic when working out is such a necessity for me. I have one of those little armbands to hold my mp3 player because of how many times I have knocked it on the ground trying to stay on the treadmill :)
