Weekend Recap

Morning all!

This weekend was eventful, but I'm mentally not feeling it today so you're getting bullet points instead

  • Got great news at the doctors - I'm cured and released for full activity.  I have to go back in 3 months to make sure that all is well but Disney Marathon here I come!!
  • Saturday we met a client for dinner and they introduced me to a red wine I like - Lindeman's Merlot.
  • Sunday my parents, Jay & I went on my first hike in ages.  It was an easy one, but I've definitely lost some conditioning.  (Hopefully Jay will get me the pictures soon and I can blog about it.)
  • I'm sick of this luke warm crap.  I feel fat and it gets me down, but it doesn't bother me enough to do anything about it.  I either wanna eat what I want and not care, or care enough to alter my behaviors.
  • I'm also in a bit of a spending mood.  I feel like I'm in a rut.  A little tired of the first part of "living like no one else."
Oh, and let's not forget the new store that opened up 5 minutes from my house.  I decided to stop by on Saturday and check them out.  This could be very dangerous!

So, how was your weekend?

  1. I'm glad the doctors gave you the okay! You will get toned again in no time. Especially with training for the Disney Marathon. Good Luck!

  2. Dunkin' Donuts is very dangerous! They have the best Raspberry filled ever!! Can't wait to see the pictures of your hike.

  3. That is awesome news!!! Go ahead and splurge and don't feel guilty. You deserve it!

  4. GREAT NEWS, Brooke!! What an awesome answer to prayer!

  5. so great that you are ok!!!
i get really tired of the living like no one else thing also.
sometimes i just want to let go and spend and shop and play like i dont have a care in the world.

  6. Yay for good reports from the doc!

Dunkin Donuts is dangerous...Krispy Kreme is downright lethal :)

  7. Being in a rut sucks, I'll give you that. I've been feeling the same way. Good news: the doctor has cleared you for exercise so you can get back into all the stuff you love to do. Bad news: some nimrod has put in a Dunkin Donuts by you. Step away from the donuts and you'll be fine.

  8. Thanks for loving my posts! I try and get to yours everyday too! It's also great that the doctor released you. Prayer works.

I am so glad I don't have a Dunkin' Donuts closer to me.

  9. Yeaaaaaayyyyyy!!!! Glad the doctor gave you such good news! Be sure to recondition gradually. You've got a long time to prepare for the Disney, if I'm not mistaken.

Sorry to hear about your new neighbor. :-P You can always do what I do sometimes and run or bike ride to the donuts! (Kind of hard to transport the hot coffee, although I suppose you couple put it in a thermos, then put the thermos on a backpack.)

  10. yay brooke is back!!!!!!!!! SO glad they gave you the go ahead to get back to life! no need to catch up, just jump in where you are :)

as for the spending, can you get yourself a lil something to pacify that feeling? i know that feeling all too well!

  11. Praise God for the good report!! That's great news! I'm so jealous of the Dunkin Donuts! We have to drive into Houston to go to one :(

  12. Hooray for the good report! You'll be back to yourself in no time!

  13. Hi! I have an award for you at http://thereijustsaidit.blogspot.com/2010/07/i-got-blog-award.html

  14. mmmm, dunkin donuts!

i'm SO GLAD you're cleared! that's awesome and i know it'll make you feel better :)

  15. I heart Dunkin Donuts.

Let Jay get a DRINK AND A POPCORN whenever he wants Brooke. We aren't guaranteed tomorrow!
